Ambassador Deriba Kuma meets Officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark

finalnd picAmbassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the FDR of Ethiopia to the Kingdom of Denmark, Resident in Sweden, H.E Mr. Deriba Kuma has met with Mr. Stephan Schönemann, Under-Secretary for Development Policy, and Ms. Lotte Machon, Head of Africa, Policy and Development Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. Ambassador Deriba briefed the officials on the massive reforms Ethiopia is undertaking on all frontiers under the leadership of Prime Minister H.E Dr. Abiy Ahmed.

H.E also emphasized the positive impacts these reforms are having at the regional level with regard to security, regional cooperation and integration. In addition, Ambassador Deriba emphasized the wide business opportunity availed for Danish business community as the country is rolling out a new homegrown economic reform. He appreciated the deepening relationship between the two countries at bilateral and multilateral levels and promised to take it to the next level. Under-Secretary for Development Policy, Mr. Schönemann, on his part commended the reform undergoing under the leadership of Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed. The Danish officials also appreciated the peace-making role Ethiopia is playing in the East African region. The two sides agreed to further strengthen the relation between Ethiopia and Denmark in all sectors of mutual interest.
