Premier Abiy Starts State Visit in Kenya

PM and KenyaKenya May 6/2018 Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed arrived in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya late Sunday for a two-day state visit.

The Premier is visiting Kenya as per the request by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

 Abiy is accompanied by Foreign Ministers Workineh Gebeyehu, Minister of Agriculture Shiferaw Shigute, Minister of Government Communication Affairs Office Ahmed Shide and President of Orormia Regional State Lema Megerssa.

 Prime Minister Abiy and Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta will discuss on bilateral and issues of common concern. Abiy is also expected to visit various Kenya’s development projects.

 The Prime Minister’s visit to Kenya is the third tour abroad since he took office last April, next to Djibouti and Sudan, During his visit to both countries the Premier discussed with the leaders on ways of further consolidating existing ties.

 The visit to Kenya is part of the Premier’s effort in enhancing ties with neighboring countries.
