H.E. Ambassador Diriba Kuma, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to Sweden and other Nordic countries presented his credential to Mrs. Charlotte Wrangberg, Chief of Protocol of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Sweden on February 21, 2019.
H.E Ambassador Diriba discussed the current political and economic reform taking place in Ethiopia. H.E also briefed the role of Prime minister H.E Dr. Abey’s in bringing peace and economic integration with Eritrea and with other Horn of African countries, and the emphasis given to women empowerment.
H.E also talked about the long standing and historic relations existed between Ethiopia and Sweden, dates to 1866 with the Swedish missionaries. The bilateral development cooperation in the area of education, climate change, health, strengthened democracy and gender equality etc.
Mrs. Charlotte on her part also mentioned that Sweden is following closely the very fast and positive political development taking place in Ethiopia. She also highlighted how H.E Dr. Abey is welcomed by the Ethiopian people and Europe countries.
Both have agreed to work closely to excel up two countries relationship.
